History

Modesto Transfer & Storage was founded some 70+ years ago. Originally founded as Jensen's Van & Storage, it was a small enterprise servicing primarily Stanislaus County. As the county grew, so did the Jensen's business and family.

After many years Mr. And Mrs. Jensen's son-in-law, Mike Marshall, purchased the company and renamed it Modesto Transfer & Storage.

In 1999, the Marshalls decided to retire, at that time Gary and Susan Smith purchased the company. Gary Smith, has brought his many years of hands on experience to Modesto Transfer & Storage, adding to an already rich history.

The Smiths have continued the tradition started by the Jensens of running a family-owned business. Where there was once one small truck, there is now a fleet of local trucks as well as over-the-road equipment. A service area once limited to Stanislaus County is now worldwide. The one thing that has not changed and never will is our family's commitment to providing our customers with the best services available in the relocation industry.
